To Prepare for your Audition

Please prepare the following materials that corresponds with your age group, linked below.  All auditions include a dance audition, vocal audition, and acting audition.

Youth Audition Materials (Grades 4-8)

HS Audition Materials (Grades 9-12)

For those unable to attend at their slated audition time, an option to submit a video audition will be offered when filling out the audition form.

When You Arrive

Actors please check in at the front desk upon arrival. The audition will begin at the designated start time.

4th - 8th graders should plan to stay for the entire duration of the noted audition time. Because space inside our facility is limited, parents are asked to wait in their car or visit a neighboring business during the audition time, and return to pick up  your child at the end of the time listed.

9th -12th graders will be asked to select an audition time on their audition form.  They should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their scheduled audition time.

Other Important Details

Please make note of the following:

Only production staff members and those who are auditioning are allowed to observe the audition.

Actors who are needed for callbacks will be notified via text to the number submitted on their audition forms. Not being called back does not preclude an actor from receiving a role. Likewise, a callback does not guarantee a role.

In an effort to give more young people the chance to participate, CCT may choose to cast multiple groupings of actors who perform the same roles and rotate performing throughout the run.

While auditions are open to all performers in grades 4-12, CCT reserves the right to hold additional audition calls for actors of all ages as needed after the initial call.

Cast members are asked to make a $250 production donation to help cover show costs; scholarships are available to ensure finances are never a barrier to participation.

At CCT we seek to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, seen, and valued.  It is of great importance to our common goals that our cast be made up of kind, respectful, and hard working individuals who are willing to actively encourage and support one another. If this seems problematic to your sensibilities, please do not attend our audition call as we will not be the right fit for you.

Rehearsals & Performances

Our goal is to create an atmosphere of excellence and professionalism, which requires strong commitment and dedication from all performers. While we support our performers in other endeavors, we expect that CCT will be a priority commitment for actors who are offered a role in the production.

Rehearsals are mandatory unless conflicts have been submitted and approved. Every actor will not be called to attend every rehearsal, therefore it is of the utmost importance for actors to be present when called.

Please be mindful that excessive conflicts, including fall break conflicts, do factor into casting. Actors who audition without disclosing future conflicts may be asked to forego their roles in light of unexcused rehearsal absences.

The show will open in November and will run for 20 performances including some weekday performances during school hours. Some roles will be multi-cast with actors rotating performing throughout the run.
