Welcome to CCT Academy’s Fall 2026 session! Our classes offer young performers ages 5–18 a supportive place to explore, create, and grow—whether they are stepping into the theatre for the first time or ready to deepen their craft through focused scene study and original work. Led by experienced teaching artists, each class is designed to build confidence, strengthen performance skills, encourage collaboration, and help every student discover a more expressive and authentic voice. Classes for Fall 2026

Tuesdays | 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM

Ages 7-8/Grade 2-3

9-Weeks (Aug 25 - Oct 20)

A playful exploration of acting fundamentals including emotions, character, stage awareness, and teamwork. Students learn through games, short scenes, and imaginative exercises.

Thursdays | 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM

Ages 7-8/Grade 2-3

6-Weeks (Aug 27 - Oct 1)

From first idea to final bow, students will work together to create and perform a 5-10 minute play in just six weeks! Through imaginative games, guided writing activities, improvisation, and rehearsal, young storytellers will develop characters, build a plot, write dialogue, and bring their ideas to life onstage. The session culminates in a sharing of the students’ completed original play for family and friends.

Ages 9-10/Grade 4-5

9-Weeks (Aug 25 - Oct 20)

Designed for young actors ready to build on emerging skills, Acting Adventures II introduces more focused work in character development, storytelling and stage presence.  Through theatre exercises, short works, and collaborative rehearsal students will learn to make stronger acting choices, and communicate a characters thoughts and emotions through both words and actions.

Ages 9-10/Grade 4-5

Ages 11-13/Grade 6-8

9-Weeks (Aug 25 - October 20)

A technique-based class focusing on voice, movement, stage etiquette, and expressive storytelling. Designed to build strong fundamentals for future productions and auditions.

Ages 13-18/Grade 8-12

6-Weeks (Aug 27 - Oct 1) 

Acting Lab is a process-focused class for dedicated high school performers ready to deepen their craft and create more truthful, connected work.

Using scenes from published plays, students will explore how to uncover meaning within—and between—the lines, make purposeful acting choices, and communicate clearly through both words and action. Through scene study, rehearsal, discussion, and individualized coaching, students will be challenged to take creative risks while developing stronger instincts, greater confidence, and a more disciplined approach to performance.

Instructor: Prudence van Aalten  

Individualized instruction for students seeking focused support in their development as performers.  Sessions may include audition preparation, monologue & scene work, character development, vocal and physical technique- coaching tailored to the student's specific goals. Available for students ages 11 and up (or for younger students, with special permission from teaching artist.)
